door_3     Going out the front door, down the lane and aroung the corner, the little pilgrim starts his journey. He is off and away from familiar things. There is excitement in his heart. A flagpole rests on his shoulder as he strides along. He is not too fast as his legs are short. A bag of provisions bounces at his belt.

The flag is something the little pilgrim had planned to carry since he first thought of taking his trip.  (a recent painting)

Pachyderm thinking is a long term memory legend. And what do rhinos think about? These creatures seem stubborn, even relentless in pursuit of instinctual goals, but what else do they remember? And for how long?

Am I a lumbering pachyderm doomed to walk the same track my ancestors walked?
